- 2008 – A plan to release the new Volkswagen Scirocco in Live for Speed was announced. A video preview called The VW Scirocco, recreated inside Live for Speed was published on the official LFS YouTube channel.
- 2025 – After the official video announcement on December 8, public testing for arguably the biggest and most-awaited version, containing the new graphics, lighting, 1000 Hz physics, new tracks and more, went live. This first publicly playable version was the 0.8B, which is not a full release version, rather a special version for the public testing phase.
