Gaming History

I have been playing computer games for probably 17-20 years. It all started when we got a very small computer, which I don't really know the name of, but we still have it. The computer used the old "Norton" operative system. It contained games like "Paratrooper", "Digger", "Snake" and many other "cool" games. I didn't care much for the computer games untill I got myself an IBM 386 with "North and South", "Accaloide F1" (or how it's spelled), "Lemmings", "Hot Rod", "Full Throttle" and those types of games. There was this kid up the street, who is now my best friend, who worked at a computer company, developing different programs, fixing computers and all sorts of work, who had computers at home. Him and another friend of his/mine played alot together on LAN. They played games like "Rally Championship", "Quake" and several other cooler games then what I was used to. I traded my IBM 386 for a Compaq 486 DX2 66mhz, which I had for several years. My friends where using Pentium 200mhz and the first Pentium 2s.. I think I had my Compaq for around 2-3 years and then traded it for a 120mhz which I had for a while when I then bought a P3 550mhz and then got a Athlon XP 1800 which I then bought a 1900. I have tried to follow the times on gaming and I have been playing quite alot of games. How many games I don't have the number of but if I say more then 100, I would'nt lie.

I've spent alot of time on the "Quake" games, "Counter - Strike", "Grand Theft Auto", "Need For Speed" and several others in the 3d shooter and racing game catagory. I've been playing a few other types of games but 3d shooter and racing games bring me the most pleasure. The past few years I have been playing "Max Payne", "Grand Theft Auto", "Need For Speed", "Battlefield" and not to mention "Mafia". "Mafia" is probably one of the best games I have been playing when it comes to 3rd person shooting games. It has a good story and does'nt really require that much skills to play.

In the year 2005-2006 I have not been able to playing that much, because, on 4th of June 2005, me and my girl friend had a daughter. In 2006 I started playing a racing game called "Trackmania Nations", which gave me a minor kick when it came to speed. At first I thought that it was one of the most idiotic games I had ever played, but then I started to learn most of the tracks and started doing laps that beat more experienced players. In late May my best friend told me about Live For Speed. At first I didn't care much for it, since I was playing "Trackmania". In June I got to try the game out on his computer using a Logitech Momo Racing Wheel. That made the "LFS bomb" to blow. When I came home that day, I downloaded the game and started to race against him online. A few days later I purchased a license and after that it's been a glory to play. The only racing game I have played after the license purchase is the "Cars" game (from the Pixar/Disney movie).

Live For Speed to me is more then just a game. Live For Speed community means alot to the game and it also help anyone that needs help. Personally I think that alot of people put too much efford in replying to questions but that is what makes the game cool. Not just the racing it self but the hole community is like a big happy family. There are arguements but in the matter as you would with your family members.

Live For Speed owns when it comes to simulator racing games. Even though it's not fully complete, it gives a kick even to experienced real life racers. I would highly recommend to all the Demo racers that if you think the game is cool in Demo version, wait after you purchase an S2 license.

I would like to appologize the spelling errors. My english is really bad but I do hope that most of you understand what I am meaning to say.
