- 1 Open the vehicle editor.
- 2 Click the Object Positions button in the top left corner.
Object position display
To see what you are doing better, you can enable show massesshow frame to display coloured boxes corresponding to object masses. For more control over this display mode, use the buttons on the bottom right corner of the editor: frame, masses, and even wire if you want to position masses relative to your 3D model, instead of the frame.
Options
You can set the engine's Crankshaft axis to be transverse or longitudinal, and choose a clockwise or counter-clockwise Rotation. Those affect how the engine's torque will move the car.
You can also choose whether to Include seat masses for the driver and all passengers.
Objects
The following objects can be positioned:
- Driver affects both mass and where the camera is placed in the game. If you enable the Front passenger seat, it is positioned symmetrically to the driver.
- Back seat (optional) is for the rear passenger seats. You can set the maximum number of passengers using Capacity.
- Engine (the engine's mass is determined entirely from the engine editor)
- 12V battery (optional) has an adjustable mass using the Mass arrow buttons.
- Fuel tank allows you to move the fuel tank. To set its capacity, head to the Mass editor mode.
- Spare wheel allows you to add up to two (symmetrical) spare wheels, change their visual appearance (or hide them while including their mass), and set their orientation (when visible).
Statistics
The bottom part of this editor mode gives you the total mass, weight distribution, and position of the center of gravity.
