Make sure to delete the bkg image on the side you are trying to put an opposite image of the side that has the bkg.

For example: You have loaded a bkg on the right side, dont load the bkg on the left side, go to the 2D view for the left side and right bottom corner above "save scm" there will be a button to "use opp", press that and it should use the opposite bkg from the right side.

You can use background images in the Modeller to help with modelling.

Custom background image with a blueprint of the car

Load a background image

  1. 1 Save a square PNG image (probably 1024x1024 or 2048x2048) in your data\bkg folder
  2. 2 Go into a 2D view (R/F/V etc.)
  3. 3 At the bottom right, click load bkg.
  4. 4 Select the image from the list in the dialog and click OK.

Adjust background image size and position

  1. 1 Click adjust then use the mouse to adjust the position and size.
  2. 2 After clicking adjust you can also click bkg scale to type in the scale.
  3. 3 Repeat the steps above for any of the other main 2D views.
  4. 4 Click save scm which saves the whole scheme of adjusted backgrounds so you can easily load it next time.

The "use opposite" option: for example on the left side it will use the right side image and position, automatically flipped.
