| Vehicle Mods |
Mirrors for vehicle mods use a special texture page called s_mirr which looks black in editor but produces a real 3D mirror image in game.
Side mirrors
Creating a texture page
- 1 Enter the modeller.
- 2 Click the page button at the top to enter texture page mode.
- 3 Click add new page.
- 4 When the "Select PNG texture" dialog appears, enter
s_mirrand press OK.
Creating a texture cutout
- 1 Click the cutout button at the top to enter texture cutout mode.
- 2 Click add new cutout, enter a name for it and press OK.
- 3 In the "texture page" column, check the assigned texture page of the newly created cutout. If it doesn't already say
s_mirr, click the page name and selects_mirrfrom the list of pages on the right side of the screen.
Creating a texture mapping
- 1 Click the map button at the top to enter texture mapping mode.
- 2 Switch to any 2D view (e.g. front view by clicking the f button in the viewport controls at the bottom right, or pressing the F key.
- 3 Press and hold the right mouse button and drag a rectangle in the car model area to create a yellow "drag box" for the mapping.
- 4 Click add new mapping, enter a name for it and press OK.
- 5 In the "cutout" column, click the assigned cutout of the newly created mapping.
- 6 On the right side of the screen, select the correct cutout from the list of cutouts.

- 1 Click the tri button at the top to enter triangle mode.
- 2 Select the triangles representing the mirror surface. For example, press Ctrl + LMB to select the triangles one by one.
- 3 In the bottom left corner, you will see all existing mappings. Click the newly created mapping.
Internal mirror
Creating an internal mirror subobject
- 1 Enter the modeller.
- 2 Click the subob button at the top to enter subobject mode.
- 3 Click new subobject.
- 4 Enter the name of the new subobject and press OK.
- 5 Next to object type below the list of subobjects, click attachment to change the subobject type.
- 6 Select Internal mirror : central rear view mirror from the list of subobject types.
- 7 Merge an existing internal mirror model into this subobject, or model one from scratch.
